About MHCO
Music from the Heart Children's Orchestra performed their last concert in December 2009. We want to extend a huge thank you to all those who have contributed to the success of the orchestra.
Music from the Heart Children's Orchestra was founded by Susan Wilcox and Natausha DeSpain. Their vision was to have a youth orchestra like no other: young children, dedication to the orchestra and above all else a fun experience for everyone.
Since its founding, MHCO has grown in numbers and in talent. Students range from six years old to high school students. The number of teachers in the program has also grown from two teachers to four teachers and one apprentice teacher.
MHCO is no longer just an orchestra. It has expanded to include group classes and a youth chamber music program, Salt Lake Youth Chamber Program.
Most of the funding for these wonderful groups comes from state and private grants. If you are interested in donating to this wonderful cause please contact Susan Wilcox.
